The studio is almost all set up and organised, now its time for the overflowing stock and dyeing room : their whole contents is going to be transported first to the ever going dyepots and then to the warm and cozy living room to dry out now that the Rain is pounding down incessantly here and the temps have dropped as well.
I truly cannot believe that the Bendigo Show is just a bit over a month away! The first half of the year has flown by ! and there is still so much to do. Also, I had lots of people ask me when my fresh new harvest of Buddhas tears tea is available again, because some people were getting low on their stock. Well, I got good news: I have received the new gorgeous harvest of Buddhas tears tea ( = a hand rolled wonderful green tea that holds a beautiful jasmine tea pearl inside). This special Buddhas tears tea will be packaged up very nicely so it is a perfect gift idea as well !
The new projects are slowly but surely taking shape. I have finished making the base of some new products and all they need now is the finishing touches so they are ready to go for Bendigo ! I am also working on a very cute patchwork bunny kit , which will be ready to hop at the Bendigo show as well ! Exciting !
So what is on offer this week?? Because we all need a bit of bling in our lives and some gorgeous fluff ofcourse: Here are some awesome GaGa ! Bunny tops: a special IxCHeL blend of Blue faced Leicester, angora bunny, cashmere and glitz ! Wonderful to spin and felt!
Apart from that there are some very special Cashmerino lace yarns on offer. This IxCHeL special lace yarn is so versatile ! I use it in my weaving to create wonderful effects with silk, because this yarn will felt and the silks in my warp and weft wont, so you can make the most magical fabric . Also, I don’t only knit lace with this yarn..no!,,you can use this fabulously versatile yarn to ply your yarns with to create a wonderful slubbed look! Bonus to doing this is ofcourse the added extra loooong yardage/meterage you will get form your handspun without compromising on softness and luxury ! And as you will see, the semi solid GaGa! Bunny tops go so well with the Cashmerino Eco Colour range! Just an idea ..and ofcourse if you do like to knit this wonderful yarn up, one skein holds 1250meters! That is enough to make a gorgeous lace scarf! Or why not take two and make the most amazing lace shawl you will ever make !
