Mowing the Pool

how to mow a pool…

It’s been a full week of lots of gardening, dyeing, spinning, custom art yarn spinning and heaps of kitchen renovation preparation…..that last bit is a bit stressful to say the least. Unless you have renovated or built a house or something like that, doing away with a kitchen and replacing it with a new version is a major thing in my world. It’s that so many tradespeople are involved and everybody needs to be organised and planned for. We are going to do a lot of things ourselves but still, project managing takes a lot of energy..lol On top of that there are the day to day regular things happening ofcourse: bunny care, land care, veggie garden care, etc. It never stops. Paul was mowing the lawn yesterday afternoon and was just having a breather when I walked up to ask him something –which totally slipped my mind now what it was- but somehow I got behind the lawnmower and away I went with chooks in tow. Paul and Jazz were watching how I had to navigate around pot holes that resemble oil digs. With all the heavy heavy rain we been having the back lawn looks more like a green pool than anything else. It’s a good thing I had my wellies on, because even Shrek would have had trouble pulling his feet out of the enormous sucking power of our green pool. Im at a loss what to do about the total inundation and the amount of springs that seem to have sprung up in the back. Well, apart from just digging everything up and build a dam or a pool: which will save us having to mow…. With all the mud and spring water around Im even thinking a day spa could be in order..lol You know, the brain keeps on coming up with these wonderful ideas and plans: why don’t we do this, why don’t we do that. Brilliant. Never a dull moment, however it does make life a bit over complicated sometimes..lol. So, in the short term, we just have to keep mowing the pool…..
